Training and Services
New Beginnings offers training and support for qualified foster parents through a team approach. This team of educated, experienced staff work directly with families to care for a child at risk. Services offered by New Beginnings include:
  • Weekly and/or bi-weekly visits by experienced foster care consultants
  • Crisis intervention (24 hours/7 days a week)
  • Planned and emergency respite for foster care families
  • Professional and continuous training offered monthly
  • Intervention with birth families when appropriate and possible
  • Independent living skills transition training for adolescents
Therapeutic foster care parents receive professional training and are offered clinical support sessions to implement home treatment strategies. Foster parents must be able to work as members of the New Beginnings Family Services' team to develop an effective plan to care for their foster child.
